The Redline Fleet

Our fleet of vehicles range from saloon cars, estate cars, 5 and 6 seater vehicles, Euro and Hackney wheelchair assessable vehicles. All taxis must be less than 5 years old and are always well maintained.

Our fleet comprise of both general and private cars.

The general taxis are all white in colour and can pick up at ranks and off the street, these cars all have taxi signs on the roof. The other half of our fleet are private hire vehicles which cover the hires from our system.

Types of vehicle
We have cars to suit everyone’s needs at Redline. We have low saloon cars to 5/6 seaters and estate cars. You can even request an unmarked car we will send one of our private hire vehicle with no advertising on it, just a redline logo on rear window.

If you would feel more comfortable with a female driver this can also be requested.

Taxi Driver Licence
All our drivers are vetted by Strathclyde Police and their Taxi Licence Badges are issued by North Lanarkshire Council. As a company we issue all drivers with a unique ID number so we know exactly who is driving at all times. Any driver that participates in school contracts will also have a disclosure issued by North Lanarkshire Council for your complete reassurance.

Taxi Inspections
All vehicles go through a strict annual fitness test by North Lanarkshire Council and have to be no more than 5 years, this helps maintain a high standard of vehicle for your safety, comfort and peace of mind.

Meter Tests/Taxi Fares
Taxi fares in Motherwell are set for all licensed taxis by North Lanarkshire Council. All of our vehicles are fitted with meters that are tested and sealed by the Council, they cannot be tampered with, giving our customers a fair and accurate price for every journey.
 All of our vehicles meters and have been checked by North Lanarkshire Council with a meter test, once they had passed thier test they are sealed.

Our disabled customers can trust that our drivers will give assistance in and out of the vehicle along with prams and buggies.

If there are five passengers or more an extra £1 can be charged. (at the drivers disgression). There will be no extra charge for fares out with our boundaries but our meters incur a £1 charge after midnight.
